Abstract Continuous changes in the global climate have exacerbated uneven spatial distribution of water resources. The quantitative response relationships between precipitation and its influencing factors are an important research topic. In this study, responses to were quantified by analysing large-spatial-scale data such as monthly 619 meteorological stations China from 1951 2018, CMIP6 data, AMO through empirical orthogonal function decomposition, partial redundancy analysis, ensemble mode decomposition. As shown results, overall MEI relatively strong, PDO AGG affected western China. area north 25 °N had strong with SR AO. AP Northeast China, while WS North RH regions south °N. relationship CO2 was weakest. total contribution rate annual higher west lower east. 100 °E, increased north. east decreased central area, AO contributed little across
